{"id":11761,"date":"2023-08-01T13:20:26","date_gmt":"2023-08-01T11:20:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.biotechware.com\/?p=11761"},"modified":"2023-08-11T20:57:49","modified_gmt":"2023-08-11T18:57:49","slug":"free-ecgs-in-rome-for-blood-donor-prevention-days","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/biotechware.mlnz.net\/en\/free-ecgs-in-rome-for-blood-donor-prevention-days\/","title":{"rendered":"Free ECGs in Rome for Blood Donor Prevention Days"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"11761\" class=\"elementor elementor-11761\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-458435b elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"458435b\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-8da22be\" data-id=\"8da22be\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8ade5e8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8ade5e8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.criroma.org\/\">The Italian Red Cross &#8211; Rome Metropolitan Area Committee<\/a>, with the unconditional contribution of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.daiichi-sankyo.it\/\">Daiichi Sankyo Italy<\/a>, recently organised two days entirely dedicated to Blood Donor Prevention in Rome.<\/p><p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/pianetasalute.online\/mercoledi-a-roma-screening-cardiologici-gratuiti-offerti-dalla-croce-rossa-per-le-giornate-dedicate-alla-prevenzione-cardiovascolare-del-donatore-di-sangue\/\">first day<\/a> was held on Wednesday 19 April, while the second was organised on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, in Piazza Farnese on 14 June 2023.<\/p><p>Red Cross volunteers and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.associazionegina.it\/\">G.I.N.A. (Grandi Idee Nascono Amando)<\/a> volunteers, a non-profit association that deals with social initiatives such as volunteering, blood donation, cap collection, discussion and awareness-raising on sensitive issues such as immigration, actively participated in the event.<\/p><p>The aim of the initiative was to raise awareness on the importance of blood donation and cardiovascular prevention, to remind people that &#8216;donating is a way to do good to others and to oneself&#8217;.<\/p><p>On this subject, Valentina Marina Agostini, vice-president of the Gina Association, said: &#8216;Today we are here in Piazza Farnese together with the Red Cross to bring as many people as possible to donate blood. Our Association was born with a sad story: we lost a friend in a car accident; we found ourselves one summer night in a hospital, unaware that blood bags were a continuous emergency. Our story has a tragic ending because Francesco is no longer there, but since that day we have organised ourselves and from one city we have grown to 16 cities in Italy plus Brussels. We have no profit motive, we just want what happened to us to happen to no group of friends.
