A portable device to store electrocardiograms and receive remote reports from a team of qualified cardiologists in a short time.Thanks to this idea Biotechware<\/strong><\/a>, the Italian startup working in the biomedical area, won the Franci@Start-Up award given by the French Embassy in Italy as part of the Italian Master Startup Award.<\/p>

The startup Biotechware<\/strong><\/a>, born within the I3P Incubator of the Politecnico di Torino, won the Franci@Start-Up award put up for grabs by the French Embassy in Italy to encourage the creation of technological collaborations with French entities or companies. The award was given as part of the 2016 edition of the Italian Master Startup Award, the competition dedicated to the best startups and promoted by PNICube, the national association of university incubators.<\/p>

Biotechware won the award thanks to CardioPAD PRO, the portable device that allows professional recording of electrocardiograms (ECG) using a cloud platform for data storage, processing and transmission. CardioPAD PRO can be used in pharmacies, physicians’ offices and many other health-related environments, allowing for a report to be provided remotely by a team of selected and highly qualified cardiologists in a very short time, at a cost equal to that of the co-pay.<\/p>

Using highly advanced encryption systems, CardioPAD PRO guarantees maximum security for patient data and represents a tool that combines highly advanced technology with the quality and competence of the report: essential elements to ensure an effective and safe all-round service for the prevention and remote diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases.<\/p>

Biotechware was founded in 2011 by Alessandro Sappia and Enrico Manzini who after a degree in computer engineering at the Polytechnic of Turin, began working for a cardiac monitoring company that provides telemedicine services. Strengthened by this experience, the two engineers gave life to Biotechware, an innovative startup that immediately joined I3P, the business incubator of the Polytechnic of Turin, which to this day has supported the birth of 193 companies, obtained venture capital for about 40 million euros and generated over 1600 jobs.<\/p>
